What we collect when you get in touch or apply for funding, why we hold it, and how to ask us to delete it.
SIAC Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of SIAC Holding Group, based in Egypt. This notice explains what we do with the information you send us through this website. We may update it; the version on this page is always the current one. For anything here, write to info@siacventures.com.
Only what you choose to send us. The funding application asks for your startup’s name and website, your contact details, your country, which pillar you fit, your stage, and a link to your pitch deck. Following that link means we also see what the deck contains. A general enquiry gives us your name, email, company and message.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
To assess whether your company is a fit, to contact you about your application or enquiry, and to keep a record of companies we have reviewed so that we have the context if you come back to us later. Our basis for this is our legitimate interest in evaluating investment opportunities.
Your application is read by the SIAC Ventures investment team. We are the venture arm of SIAC Holding Group and may share what you send us with companies within the group, and with co-investors, advisors or other partners where that is relevant to an investment. If you would rather we did not, tell us.
The funding application runs on Microsoft Forms, and applications are held in SIAC’s Microsoft 365 environment under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Enquiries sent from this page are passed to a third party form service and emailed to us, rather than stored on this website. The site is hosted by Vercel.
For as long as it is needed for the purposes above, and as long as the law requires. Where we have decided not to proceed, we may keep your application for context if you approach us again. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Unless we have signed an agreement with you that says otherwise, what you send us is not confidential. We look at a great many companies and some work in the same areas as yours. Nothing here prevents us from evaluating, advising or investing in a company that competes with yours, or from arriving at similar ideas independently. We are under no obligation to keep your material confidential, to refrain from using it, or to pay you for it. By sending it, you allow us to review it and to share it internally and with our advisors and possible co-investors. If you need confidentiality, say so before you send anything.
By sending us an application or an enquiry, you accept this notice.
